Six screens, then you're ready

Read these once. They explain what the app is, what it is not, and how to use it without getting yourself into trouble.

  1. 1

    Welcome

Welcome to Self Help Letters Boutique. This is a calm place to work out what a scary letter actually means, what your rights are, and what to write back. No jargon, no lectures, no assumption that you should already know this.

  2. 2

    What This App Does

It explains rights in plain English, gives you letter templates you can adapt, and walks you through the steps that institutions actually respond to. It covers housing, school, contracts, consumer issues, bailiffs, utilities, police and DVLA matters, data protection and civil claims.

  3. 3

    Safety Notice

If you are in immediate danger, call emergency services. If you smell gas, leave the building and call the gas emergency number. This app does not replace urgent help, and it does not replace a solicitor when your home, liberty or livelihood is at stake.

  4. 4

    How Templates Work

Every template is a starting point, not a magic spell. Replace the bracketed parts with your facts, keep it short, always include dates and a deadline, and always keep a copy of what you sent and proof you sent it.

  5. 5

    How Tools Work

The tools help you build a record: a timeline, an evidence bundle, a chronology. Most disputes are won by whoever documented things properly. That can absolutely be you, and it can start today.

  6. 6

    Start

Begin wherever you are. If you have a letter in your hand, go to Departments. If you want to understand something first, go to Learn. If something is happening right now, go to Emergency Guides.
